Foundations of Natural Farming: Fermentation & Biostimulants is a two-day immersive class designed to introduce growers, homesteaders, and natural farming enthusiasts to the fundamentals of fermentation-based soil and plant health.
On Day 1 (May 3rd), we will explore the basics of Korean Natural Farming (KNF) and Jadam techniques, including how to make Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ), Fermented Fruit Juice (FFJ), Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB), Jadam Microbial Solution (JMS), and Jadam Liquid Fertilizer (JLF). Participants will gather materials and prepare their own microbial solutions to enhance soil and plant vitality.

Mommy and Me Storytime
Bring a blanket, or fold out chair, and sit on our lawn while we learn all about horses! Operation Hold Your Horses, from Harwinton, is bringing two ponies to the library to help us learn. Families will be able to pet and take pictures with the animals after the presentation. All ages. No registration needed. If there is bad weather, we will try to move the program to another date.

Watercolor Book Tracker Craft for Teens
Unique photography exhibit showcasing over 70 captivating photos from local artist Maura Salvati. Artist recepion is Sunday May 18th from 2 till 5 at the Harwinton Library; all are welcome. Exhibit will be open during library hours May 5th through June. All pieces are available for purchase and 20% of all sales benefit the library.

Need a laugh? Join author and pop culture historian Marty Gitlin for a funny program about funny programs! Marty will talk about the evolution of sitcoms over the decades, from I Love Lucy to The Big Bang Theory. Test your knowledge of sitcom trivia and enjoy hilarious clips from some of your favorite shows at this fun and interactive program. This program is suitable for teens and adults.
