Meet us in the Children’s Room for Baby Time! This calm, cozy program is designed for pre-walkers who aren't quite ready for the high energy of Rhyme Time. We will focus on nursery rhymes, lullabies, and bonding with your baby.

Perfect for 18 - 36 months, but fun for everyone!

Lots of rhymes, a sprinkling of songs, and one or two shared board books round out this library program that is perfect for little ones who need to get those wiggles out. Stay to PLAY! After the rhymes, stay for some unstructured play time with other kiddos.

Feeling stressed? Visit the Makerspace to relax and unwind at this calming craft night. Work on a project from home or make a collage as you listen to tranquil music and spend time with friends.

Discover what the CNC machine can do in this beginner-friendly workshop! You’ll learn how to create a design in Canva and then program the CNC to engrave it on a wooden picture frame. Frames will be cut after the workshop and can be picked up at the library at a later date.

Out in the Corner and the David M. Hunt Library are partnering for a LGBTQIA+ game night on the first Thursday of the month, from 5:30-7 pm. Bring your own games, play those provided, or just hang out. Snacks are provided!

The O&G Touch a Truck is back!

Saturday, June 7, 10am-2pm

900 South Main Street, Torrington, CT

Dozens of pieces of construction equipment will be on display for kids to touch and climb aboard.

There will also be police vehicles!

Admission to the event is a suggested donation of $2 per person, and all proceeds will benefit the Torrington Police Activities League -Torrington PAL.

Ample parking will be available next door at 850 South Street and a shuttle bus will be available.

The event is weather permitting.

For over four decades, photojournalist Christopher Little has captured significant moments in history and pop culture. His work has graced the covers of more than 300 magazines and books, including Time, People, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times.

Christopher’s subjects have ranged from U.S. presidents to cultural icons like Oprah Winfrey and Muhammad Ali; celebrated actors and musicians including Leonardo DiCaprio, Sophia Loren, Led Zeppelin, and David Bowie—and architectural masterpieces like Fallingwater.

For forty years, Christopher Little held a front seat to history.

Shooting the Breeze: Memories of a Photojournalist is his story. The book details his intimate talks with presidents, movie stars, supermodels, rock ’n’ rollers, and lots of other world-famous people. During his career, he covered pivotal events and society’s shapers. There are more than 400 images in the book.

As he says in the introduction, “I don’t miss the stress.
