Back by popular demand – The Rotary Club of New Milford CT will hold a Community Document Shredding Day on Saturday, May 3, 2025, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, at the Pettibone Community Center, 2 Pickett District Rd, New Milford.
Drive-up at the Pettibone Building - No appointment is necessary and no limit on the number of boxes. Open to residents and businesses from any town. Shredding done, while you watch, by a mobile on-site document destruction process. What could take many hours to shred at home can be shredded on-site in minutes and all shredded material will be recycled.
The cost is just $10.00 per standard copy paper-type box or large bag. All money collected will be donated by the Rotary Club of New Milford within the community to support community projects and high school scholarships. For more information, or if you have a large number of boxes call 860-866-714

ROTARY CLUB OF NEW MILFORD SHREDDING EVENT!
The Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce cordially invites you to its third round of Designer Bag Bingo Saturday, May 3, at the VFW Post 1672, 11 Avery Road in New Milford.
Doors open at 6 p.m. No early admissions. Bingo begins at 7 p.m. sharp.
Like the last event, 10 rounds of bingo. A designer bag (or an alternate prize for those who wish not to win a handbag) to be awarded to one winner per round.
Additional ways to win include door prizes and raffle baskets.
Bring your favorite friends, hors d'oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages, good luck, and cash.
Cash bar will be available. Additional bingo cards, water, candy, and chips will also be available for purchase.
Early Bird registration $35 by April 10; $40 beginning April 11 through day of event.

May 10th is our annual Family Fun Day and Fishing Derby at Lynn Deming Park! Join us for an evening of family fun and catching fish followed by Shrek at 8:30 pm. Shrek is sponsored by Dawn Hough with Coldwell Banker.

- Building Foundations of Caregiving explores the role of caregiver and changes they may experience, building a support team, and managing caregiver stress.
- Supporting Independence focuses on helping the person living with dementia take part in daily activities, providing the right amount of support and balancing safety and independence while managing expectations.
- Communicating Effectively teaches how dementia affects communication, including tips for communicating well with family, friends and healthcare professionals.
- Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors details common behavior changes and how they are a form of communication, non-medical approaches to behaviors and recognizing when additional help is needed.
- Exploring Care and Support Services examines how best to prepare for future care decisions and changes, including respite care, residential care and end-of-life care

Attorney Levine has represented individuals going through family court struggles for approximately five years. Through that experience, she is hoping to bring some guidance and relief to those pursuing family court battles on their own. The Town Wide Tag Sale is Saturday, June 14th from 8AM - 12PM.
There will be tables set up at John Pettibone Community Center, 2 Pickett District Rd in addition to those having tag sales at their home!
A link to the map of houses included in this event will be available once registration has closed. Addresses will also be listed below.
Vendors can begin setting up at 7 AM.
All houses registered will be added to our town-wide tag sale map.
All interested participants must register by June 12th to be included on the map.
There are several ways for you to be a part of this town-wide event...
1) Have a tag sale at your house.
ALL MONEY MADE AT YOUR SALE IS YOURS TO KEEP!
2) Get together with neighbors and have a group tag sale.

3) Register to have a seller's table (not provided) at the John Pettibone Community Center (2 Pickett District Road).

The registration fee will cover advertising, sign for you to post for your sale, and inclusion on our town map so people can find your sale.
