Hiroya is a one-of-a-kind composer, guitarist and singer-songwriter from Kyoto, Japan. Hiroya has been leading concerts internationally including several appearances at Blue Note(NYC), United Nations and Japanese National Television(NHK). He is a two time 2nd place winner of the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 2018 and 2022. 12 Moons is a community-organized, grass-roots, not-for-profit, all volunteer event begun in 2012. It brings people together to enjoy live, local music, poetry, and storytelling. 12 Moons gathers once a month on the first Saturday from 6:30 – 9:00. The format for the evening is open mic followed by a featured performer(s) at 8:00. The setting is intimate and casual with light refreshments or BYOB. Patrons are seated at candle-lit tables, conducive to bringing in dinner to enjoy while listening to live music. The coffee house depends entirely on donations at the door. Sign-up for open mic starts at 6:00pm.
